O guitarrista, cantor e produtor tinha 70 anos. "Só espero vir a ser recordado como um bom músico de blues", disse numa entrevista no mês passado.

O músico norte-americano Johnny Winter morreu esta semana, aos 70 anos e a poucos meses de lançar o 19º disco de estúdio, Step Back , previsto para setembro.

Nascido no estado do Texas em 1944, Winter começou a tocar na adolescência, com vultos dos blues como Muddy Waters e B.B. King, tendo lançado o primeiro álbum, The Progressive Blues Experiment, em 1968.

Na altura, o jovem recebeu da editora Columbia o maior adiantamento até então (600 mil dólares).

Annie Haslam - Annie In Wonderland (1977) New Link

Primeiro álbum solo da vocalista Annie Haslam. Produzido pelo multi-instrumentista Roy Wood, que além de produzir, toca no álbum e fez a capinha. Já publiquei este disco no Contramão (onde o link original foi trocado por este novo, pois já não funcionava) mas ele merece um lugar de honra aqui no Discos Fundamentais por ser absolutamente fundamental.
